The Sea Gem Beach House is now currently over 50 years old, it was 1 of the 1st homes built in Shaka's Rock, Dolphin Coast. I bought the house 7 years ago, it was an old run down beach cottage that needed a lot of TLC and a huge make over, which I did. I kept some of the existing features as I did not want to lose the historical part of the home and then did a complete make over and added onto it.

The house stole my heart initially due to the potential it had to renovate it and make it a home.
The house location was an important factor as it is central to everything and a walk away from 2 of our most well known beaches, as well as the secure location as it is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, which is great for the kids to ride their bikes in and still be safe. The garden and the sea view were the other two most important factors considered before I purchased this Gem.

The garden over the years has been changed to a tropical and indigenous garden which inhabits a variety of our beautiful bird life.
An upstairs deck was added which 3 of the bedrooms walk onto and has the most amazing sea view as well as a beautiful view of the garden and a great place to watch the sun set whilst sipping cocktails and looking out over the beautiful Indian Ocean.

In time the downstairs deck was covered with an awning with folding stacking windows and window panes which allow you to sit outside, socialise and enjoy the shade from the sun, shelter you from the rain, and yet still offering the feeling of being outside.
The kitchen, the lounge/inside entertainment area, the bedrooms and bathrooms were all renovated to give the house a feeling of peace, flow and comfort.

This home was built with a lot of love, a lot of passion, has an amazing peaceful feeling to it and has been enjoyed as our home for many years.

This holiday home / villa is a space for everyone, it is family, pet and social friendly.

We are a family ourselves and know how hard it is to travel with young children, yet we love to socialise too, so we pride ourselves in offering facilities that will assist the family stayers as well as the groups of friends and even business guests.
